Hardings Paddock Picnic
15th January
On Sunday, 15th January, we ventured to Hardings Paddock, Purga for a
day of relaxation after a busy Christmas and New Year. Joe and I arrived
a little before 9.00am to make sure we had a good spot.
Shortly afterwards, Lorraine and Gordon arrived and it was
decided that a little ground maintenance was needed. So Joe rang Gary Chapman
to see if he could bring out his Whipper Snipper to cut the long grass
around the Picnic spot. Gary and Betty arrived shortly after and before
long had the area looking nice.
After that a steady flow of people arrived and settled in
for a good chat.
Before lunch Lorraine decided that it would be good to get
a little exercise and took those interested on a walk around
one of the tracks.
After lunch Kelby and the kids decided to have a game of
cricket, while a few others played Bocce. Eleni and Natalie
arrived with some Craft
books and this kept some of the ladies entertained for
a while.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day
an enjoyable one. Thank you to Lorraine, Gordon, Gary
and Betty for your help in setting
up and all those who helped to pack up.
