Home Show Weekend

24th - 26th June

Thank you to Boettcher Motors for a great weekend. Without their vehicles the weekend would not have been the success that it was.

Saturday, 18th June saw many members of the Ipswich 4WD Club up at the Ipswich Show Grounds to set up a 4 wheel drive test track. “Many hands make light work”, as the saying goes – and by lunch time the track was all set up and ready to go – a job well done.

Thursday, 23rd June and the cars were delivered – thank you to Paul (Michael) Bishop for looking after these vehicles.

Friday morning saw club members arrive from 8.00am to set up the tarp and boards. By 9.30am all was ready for the weekend.

Business was a little bit slow to begin with, but we managed to coax a few people to have a ride and sample the four wheel drives. Saturday saw a few more people willing to try out the track and Sunday we handed out vouchers advertising a free ride and had many eager participants.

It was good to see so many club members there over the three days to help out.

Because of everyone’s assistance, it was excellent to hear that the club had won the “Best Outdoor Exhibit” at the show.

Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Boettcher Motors and all those who helped to make this weekend the success that it was.
